WHERE DO I STAND IN THIS ORD(R)ER OF POWER¿
dàzìbào (I) & uniform (Us) (2020-2023)
BR00KLYNB3B3 (BKBB) is a collaborative platform that focuses on creating a new narrative that looks to break the rules with a DIY spirit. It’s an attitude of utopian visions challenging today’s dystopian society with no apologies or permissions.
For its first chapter, WHERE DO I STAND IN THIS ORD(R)ER OF POWER¿ there is a recurring image of a group of militant flowers that have taken the streets on the first day of Spring, to demand questions to today’s society.
Reminiscent of guerrilla groups and their counterculture, a visual language was developed into two installments: dàzìbào (I), a limited edition zine set with risograph prints and stickers referencing Chinese protest posters; and uniform (Us), consisting of three parts: ARMOR, HERITAGE, and FANTASY, each represented by a symbolic adornment for the body.
