WHERE DO I STAND IN THIS ORD(R)ER OF POWER¿
manifesto (We)
BR00KLYNB3B3 (BKBB) is a collaborative platform that focuses on creating a new narrative that looks to break the rules with a DIY spirit. It’s an attitude of utopian visions challenging today’s dystopian society with no apologies or permissions.
Throughout WHERE DO I STAND IN THIS ORD(R)ER OF POWER¿ the visual spectacle of The Flower intends to expound on its own potency and influence thought through its strong associations to themes such as new beginnings, progress, and rebirth. The Flower then becomes a symbolic means of protest against dystopia, and promotes an ideal of universal belonging, wholeness, and hope. Thus, The becoming a paradoxical emblem for utopia.
The creation of the series (and with the utilization of this new ‘visual language’) conducted within the first two installments showcase how these images and symbols inform the concepts of “brand” and “identity” to create different moods and latencies within society; revealing the harmonious chaos within. manifesto (We) presented at New Gallery is the third and final installment of this project. Here, the individual experiments come together to create a multimedia installation consequently uniting the different pieces to create a whole.
